KGF Chapter 2, the magnum opus from Prashant Neel, is finally coming to the theatres on 14 April 2022. It is the second part of the 2018 Kannada blockbuster KGF Chapter 1.
The movie has been delayed several times due to the pandemic impeding the shooting schedules and reducing the occupancy in cinema theatres.
KGF Chapter 2 Budget:
KGF Chapter 2 has the highest-ever budget for a Kannada movie, with more than ₹100 crores spent on making the larger-than-life-action drama. The film is a pan India release, and it will run in theatres in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
KGF Chapter 2 Core Cast:
Kannada superstar Yash plays the main protagonist in the movie. He will reprise his role as Rocky. An orphan turned gangster from chapter 1. Sanjay Dutt will play the antagonist in KGF chapter 2 and will ensue a war against Rocky.
Srinidhi Shetty is cast as the main female lead in the movie, while Raveena Tandon will play the prime minister of India. Veteran south actor Prakash Raj has also been cast in the movie as Vijayendra Ingalagi. The details about his character have not been revealed yet by the creators.
Storyline:
KGF Chapter 2 will continue Rocky’s story from the first instalment. Rocky has risen to the level of a leader in Kolar Gold Fields, and his control over the goldfields and the people working in them has threatened the authority of many others.
Adhere will challenge Rocky over the control of goldfields, and fans can expect a thrilling and jaw-dropping war between them. Chapter 2 is also expected to dive into Rocky’s past to make viewers resonate more with the lead and sympathize with his epic journey.
