The recently launched OnePlus 10 Pro has sent shockwaves across the smartphone industry. The phone, dubbed the rival of the Apple iPhone 13 Pro, has sparked some earnest debates on the issue. OnePlus has risen its status as the worthy competitor of Apple in the premium segment of the Indian smartphone industry with its flagship phones loaded with advanced and cutting-edge technology over the years.
But does the OnePlus 13 Pro possess what it takes to defeat the iPhone 13 Pro, or the phone will become another Android that failed to take the crown from Apple’s premium smartphone? A detailed comparison between the two has been made here to settle the debate once and for all.
One Plus 10 Pro vs iPhone 13 Pro comparisons:
Display and Weight:
OnePlus 10 Pro packs a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display with 3216 X 1440 pixels of resolution. On top of that, it has a 120Hz refresh rate and Cornilla Gorilla Glass Victus screen protection. It weighs 201 grams and may feel a bit heavy after prolonged use.
On the other hand, iPhone 13 Pro flaunts a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 1170 x 2532 pixels of resolution. The phone weighs only 174 grams which feels much lighter than the OnePlus 10 Pro. However, the OnePlus’s widescreen and over the top resolution is much better for streaming videos and playing games.
OnePlus 10 Pro operates on Oxygen OS based on Google’s latest Android 12.0 powered by an 8th generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The phone handles multitasking with ease and gives a smooth transition between apps.
In contrast, iPhone 13 Pro runs on Apple’s homegrown software iOS15, backed by an efficient A15 Bionic chipset. None of the phones stays behind in offering unruffled performance to the users. However, the A15 Bionic chipset is still somewhat more powerful than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen processor.
OnePlus 13 Pro boasts a triple setup camera at the rear and a powerful 32MP selfie camera at the front. It has a custom 48MP primary camera from Sony coupled with an 8MP telephoto lens and a brand new 50MP ultra-wide camera with 150 degrees of coverage at the back. It can handle 4k videos at 120fps and includes a professional movie mode.
On the contrary, iPhone 13 Pro features a triple 12 MP camera setup at the rear and a 12MP camera at the front. Pixels might sound pale compared with the OnePlus 10 Pro, but Apple’s processing capability rivals the megapixels offered by the OnePlus in its flagship device. iPhone 13 Pro comes with a cinematic mode that Apple terms revolutionary.
RAM and Storage:
OnePlus 10 Pro offers 8GB of RAM and 128 internal memory in the baseline product. Other versions have 12GB RAM and more than 256GB storage. The phone can handle almost all of the programmes but has a heating issue.
Meanwhile, iPhone 13 Pro offers 6GB RAM combined with 128GB internal storage in the basic version. The memory is expandable up to 1TB through added costs. Apple’s advanced A15 Bionic processor does not let the phone heat even while running heavy games and applications.
Battery and Price:
OnePlus 10 Pro packs a punch with its 5,000mAh battery, supporting blistering 80W charging. The smartphone is entirely chargeable in just 32 minutes. The primary 8GB RAM version smartphone price begins at ₹66,999 in the Indian market.
Apple has kept the battery size unrevealed for iPhone 13 Pro but claims that it can offer up to 22 hours of video playback. The phone is 50% chargeable in just 30 minutes with an adapter of 20W or more. iPhone 13 Pro begins at ₹1,19,900 in India.
Apple iPhone 13 trumps the OnePlus 10 Pro in most aspects, but the difference is not very significant. Nevertheless, a price gap of almost ₹53,000 in the basic versions makes the OnePlus 10 Pro an obvious favourite.
