Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar arrives at a time when there is a significant shortage of classic love films. Its success is required for the genre’s resurrection. Its director, Luv Ranjan, started his career with the short film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Although hardly much was anticipated of it, the film was a minor success. Luv has since developed his brand.

This boy-meets-girl story of flirtation, becoming lovers, and then abandoning one another is as cynical as they get. A family becomes involved, and there is a finale that anyone can predict! Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, directed by Luv Ranjan and featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, is a film that experiments with boundaries.
Tu Jhooti Mein Makkar: Storyline
Mickey (Ranbir Kapoor) manages his family’s business in Delhi. He also discreetly operates a breakup service with the assistance of his buddy Manu Dabbas (Anubhav Singh Bassi). Manu Dabbas, who is set to marry his fiancée Kinchi (Monica Chaudhary), asks Mickey for aid in breaking up with her. Manu and Kinchi’s bachelor celebration takes Mickey and Manu Dabbas to Spain. During this journey, Mickey meets Tinni (Shraddha Kapoor), Kinchi’s friend, and falls in love with her right away.
Tinni is initially reluctant, but she gradually grows to love Mickey. Both Mickey and Tinni’s families approve of their marriage. Suddenly, complications arise between the young lovers, and the marriage is called off. What are these issues? What effect did they have on the couple? Did Mickey and Tinni resolve their differences? This is an important component of the plot.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar: Reviews
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar is enhanced by the exquisite familial drama weaved into the love romance. The film keeps true to its genre while still displaying a nice familial emotion in the background. In the second half, these two components are beautifully balanced, and the film moves at a faster pace. The tension between the lead couple is significant and sheds light on love and relationships. The film makes little attempt to entertain the audience, instead focusing on how modern relationships are impacted.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar fills a crack left by the absence of a true chartbuster record from a Bollywood film. Every song is masterfully produced, and these songs just add to the film’s diversity. These are well-placed and will cheer you up. The entire climactic scenario involving Ranbir and his family is funny and will leave fans with big fat smiles on their face.
The twist at the halfway point lays the groundwork for a more intriguing second half, and the picture improves. The appearances of Karthik Aryan and Nushrratt Bharuchha have been cleverly woven throughout the plot. The meta allusions to Pyar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety will make you smile. Luv Ranjan skilfully weaves allusions to both Alia Bhatt and some flicks by Sooraj Barjatya. These exchanges also provide some humorous moments.
Ranbir Kapoor is most attractive when he portrays damaged people. His silence says a lot. He is about to explore a new terrain, one that Kartik Aaryan has perfected over the years. He handles frothy romanticism, excessive talking, and constant monologues well. This is possibly the most he has spoken in a film to date, and the effect on his personality is fascinating to witness. He looks fantastic with Shraddha, however, the chemistry should be improved. This time around, Shraddha appears unrestrained and lively on screen. In the crowd, Dimple Kapadia and Hasleen Kaur stick out. Boney Kapoor has relatively limited screen time.
Final Verdict:
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is an age-old love story reimagined in a modern setting. It’s strange and troublesome, but it’s done in a hilarious way that might draw you in. You may find it difficult to sit through the pre-interval, but everything will settle down after that. If you enjoy entertaining shows and dialogues as much as Kartik Aaryan does, this is a must-see. It let him connect with the audience.
